2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?

There is no pacific social group that my media product represent it is just that of it being aimed at mainly females aged 15+ years. Females who like their pop music, and who are interested in a singing talent contest, such as 'The X Factor' would be attracted to my magazine and find it interesting. I aimed it at this particular audience as i believe this industry just keeps on Growing.

Here are Two Photographs that i believe have some similarities and some differences.

When looking at these pictures i believe that there are similarities and some differences. For example the similarities that i see are that firstly they are both not making eye contact with the camera, they are both looking away from the lens. Secondly they both look like they are unhappy or depressed in some way. Thirdly they are both midshots. Fourthly the lighting in the photos are roughly the same; both coming from the back of the photograph and their gaze is near enough the same. There is no gaze given off. However there are a few differences like the race of the two models in the photos are totally different and their fashion choices are also totally different.

My magazine shows off a girl dressed up in a dress, looking good ready for her performance. This will attract the target audience of the magazine as they would also be interested in Fashion. I would say that my magazine is a pro-consumerist magazine. It advertised at how girls can look good, i believe girls would try and look like the people in my media product, it emphasises on the fact of them buying lifestyle products and fashion like this.
