The media institution that would distribute my media magazine would be Bauer.
Bauer Media is a division of the Bauer Media Group; Europe’s largest privately owned publishing Group. The Group is a worldwide media empire offering over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as online, TV and radio stations.
This is a Big publish distributor and my media product would be published by a big distribution company like this as my media product is more than likely to sell thousands of copies as many people are interested in the growing t.v talent contest magazines.
Bauer distributes hundreds of Magazine’s ranging from different topics, Genders, Genres etc. Bauer Media owns more than eighty influential media brands spanning a wide range of interests, including heat, GRAZIA, Closer, MCN, FHM, Parker's, MATCH, Magic 105.4, Kiss 100, Kerrang!, Q and the Big City Network, as some of which are POP based magazines. This publisher would be ideal for publishing a POP magazine like mine; they would earn plenty of profit from doing so.
However, there are advantages as well as disadvantages to going with a massive publishing company like this. An advantage would be that my magazine may be more recognisable and may be more trusted. A disadvantage is it might affect my "editorial independence" and the company may make me pay as much attention to advertisers as i do to my audience in order to maximise my profits.
This Relates to publishing the magazine myself. I believe it would be more beneficial if i was to publish my magazine with a class a publishing group like Bauer.
"Essential" would have an online website for its magazine. It will include all the information that is included in the Magazine as well as more information like what happens next week, the judge’s background etc. I would also make a radio station for my magazine as i believe it would be beneficial for car drivers to be updated on their way home from work for example about what is happening in the show, and the lead up to the live Saturday nights performance.
