5. How did you attract/address your audience?

The way in which i mainly attracted/addressed my audience was the way in which i used my language and choice of text. I thought about it long and hard to such a way that would look professional and appealing to my audience. Firstly, it was the heading, the Name of my magazine. I thought about this for a while, and i was trying to think what would appeal to my targeted audience in such a way that they would want to read on. I came up with many of names and chose 'Essential.' I believe this magazine title is perfect for a magazine which is POP based and reasonable for its target audience. "Essential" means that it is something you don’t want to go without, and if you do, you’re loosing out. "Essential" is written in a bold, black font that stands out over everything else on the cover of the magazine; this would certainly make the magazine more appealing and would certainly attract my audience. To this, i believe if you don’t buy the magazine then you are missing out! I believe this is what makes the people buy the magazine as well as the appealing image on the cover. My image on the cover was taken in a clever way. I tried to use colours that would be noticed and goes with my theme for the magazine genre. I used bright colours and made the picture stand out to everything else on the page. I believe this colour scheme carried out through the magazine, this helped with attracting my audience.
The image on the cover, i believe it very appealing and pull the readers in. To help this is the text that goes with it; i believe it all helps to drag the reader in. Not just what it says but the style of it too. It stands out and is easy readable, exactly what the reader wants.
Another way in which i attracted my audience was i kept the way that i wrote the whole way through. I wrote in a girly, chatty manor and i believe this also attracted my audience as then this would stop them getting confused with the magazine.
Also, i slotted advertisements throughout my magazine. This would keep the reader interested and constantly paying attention as they know that another advertisement is coming up.
